Range of activities and treatments:
In 2009, over 7,000 patients treated with over 4,900 studies performed within the catherisation laboratories in Völklingen.
Complete range of conventional and invasive diagnoses and treatments of adult cardiology:

Cardiac Catheter Lab:
On duty 24 hours per day, 7 days per week for cardiac emergencies;
Left and right heart catheterisation;
Balloon angioplasty (PTCA);
Stent implantation;
Rotablation (PTCRA);
Directional coronary atherectomy;
Intra-aortic balloon counterpulsation pump (IABP);
Intravascular ultrasound (IVUS), flow-wire, pressure-wire;
Invasive treatment of carotid and renal artery stenosis;
Catheter treatment of hypertrophic obstructive cardiomyopathy (HOCM) and of valvular occlusion;
Examination using microcatheter by exercise;

Cardiac Rehabilitation:
Over 750 patients treated in our cardiac rehabilitation department in Quierschied

Cardiac Electrophysiology Lab:
Full range of electrophysological diagnostic and interventional treatment using radio frequency ablation for heart rhythm disorders. Application of three-dimensional mapping system for the guidance of the catheter without requiring X-ray exposure.
